Editorial: Internal Changes
The Lisp Magazine at
http://www.lisp-p.org/isn't dead, though
I wouldn't blame anyone for thinking it might be.
I've learned some CGI programming with
Perl1& re-implemented the site.
Some things readers will notice include:
- http://www.lisp-p.org/ still works, but
the real front page is
http://www.lisp-p.org/root.cgi. I'm undecided
on whether to declare ../../root.cgi as the
official link to th emagazine. After all, it's changed
once, so it could change again. I supposed there's little
danger that ../../index.html will cease working,
though it's mildly inconvenient to go there first & be
redirected to ../../root.cgi. So which is the
official link to the site? Ya got me.
- There's an automatically generated ``What's Newest'' list.
- You can select articles by a simple keywords system. You
can sort them by title, author, modification time, &
creation time.
So now it's a matter of getting more articles. Have you
heard that many online business attempts of the 1990s
learned that content was more difficult
than simply creating the Web site?
Yep.
End.
